The variety show

My Nervous Night

On Monday the variety show was on.

I got out of the car and went to this room and I started playing snakes and ladders. Then I sat down. Then we went to the staff room for a couple of minutes then we went on stage.

I was boiling with nervousness in the rubbish bag. Bam, the curtains open and we started singing ‘Wings Of Your Dreams’ The audience were taking pictures. Once that was finished we sat down and sang ‘Here Comes The Sun’. The room 7 did their part.

Now it’s our turn. Keayla read her part. Now it’s our turn. We started bent down. Then the glow worms did their dance and they had white finger lights. Then me and the trees did a dance as trees and we went back as rivers.

Maui saved the day

How Maui Stopped The Birds From Eating The Fishermen

The people from the village could not understand why the fishermen kept going missing as they rowed down the river and out to sea.

Maui decided to hide in the bush to see what was happening. He sees two big birds swooping down from the sky and eating the fishermen.

Maui goes back to the village to get help. Maui and the men of the village set up a large trap with meat from a dog in it.

Before long the birds swooped down, Maui and the men threw over the ropes and trapped the two birds. They chopped up the birds and now the birds fly over the land at night like ghosts showing shades of blue and red in the night sky.
